This section includes various documents that may be of interest to LTG members, and in some cases the wider public. Whether you want to know about the analytical toxicology of a drug, read a review or obtain particular guidelines, all documents are downloadable pdfs to be read or printed off-line.

All documents are searchable. So if you want to search for a particular drug or item, select “title”, “abstract”, etc on the right hand side and type all or part of the word/drug to be found, then click on the “search” button.

These are a collection of articles in a standardised format summarising the analytical profile and where possible the toxicity of a particular compound/drug. Click on the link to view all listed monographs or use the search facility to find something in particular.
If you are able to produce a monograph for the site, please download the template (in .zip or .doc format) by clicking the link of the right hand side. All monographs are edited by the web committee before publishing. If you are able to update any information within existing monographs, please contact the committee. We aim to provide a dynamic solution to ever changing drug trends, whether involving drugs of abuse or prescription medication.

The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) www.emcdda.eu.int is one of the European Union’s decentralised agencies. Established in 1993 and based in Lisbon, it is the central source of comprehensive information on drugs and drug addiction in Europe. Some of their publications are reproduced here with permission.

These are a collection of articles concerned with the review of a particular drug or drug class or subject, relevant to toxicology. There is no set format/structure for these articles and some are linked to documents produced by external authors/companies. If you wish to produce a review for this site, please produce it in an electronic wordprocessing format (preferably MS Word) and send it to monographs@ltg.uk.net.

These are a collection poster presentations produced by LTG members. This gives members who may not have been able to attend a particular meeting the opportunity to see the posters. Authors should send articles and presentations in pdf format (whenever possible) to monographs@ltg.uk.net.

These are a collection of articles or presentations produced by LTG members. This gives the chance for members who may not have been able to attend a particular meeting to see presentations of interest. Authors should send articles and presentations in MS Word, MS Powerpoint or pdf format (if possible) to monographs@ltg.uk.net. If published papers are submitted and in any situation where copyright is an issue, the author should obtain the proper authorisation from the publishing organisation before submitting to the site.

These are a collection of documents that have been produced/released by external groups or organisations, or may have been generated by the LTG. Some Guidelines may be draft documents for members to view and some may be Regulations or Guidelines for best practice that have been ratified at higher levels. Please download/view them with this in mind.

Syva Drug Monitor
Syva Drug Monitor is the UK house journal of Dade Behring Limited. It has been edited for many years by LTG member Mary Coakley, the consultant editor is Dr Steve George (LTG Chairman) who took over (from Vol. 4 Issue 7 in Summer 2005) from Dr Mike Hallworth after 14 years at the helm. Monitor is read by scientists to enhance their understanding of specialist topics such as therapeutic drug monitoring, drugs of abuse testing, and clinical & forensic toxicology.
